Toys with history

Lucky Makenah got some "new" toys to play with the other day at MeMe and Papa's. To her delight, MeMe pulled out some classics from when her daddy and uncles were little. I loved seeing her play with them, and getting a chance to push some cars around (well, a bus to be exact), and get out the trains and animals. 

This is right after I asked her, "Makenah, what does a lion say?" 

She makes the cutest raspy roarrrr. 

Also funny, is that she takes the top of the school bus off and sits in the bus. 

I really should get a picture of that. 

"How many pictures are you going to take of me, Mom?" 

Papa and the Bobcat

Oh my, oh my. Makenah has had so many new experiences! Her Papa has lots of big machinery and she got to get a close up of one during this outing.
First, we were enjoying some time outside, waiting for a ride. The guys were working hard, cleaning and helping outside.

She's also not so sure about the prickly grass. Ha!

Not gonna lie, she was not so sure about it.

She's not afraid of loud things, but was little unsure about the safety bar that comes down on your lap, and driving back and forth seemed to make her a little nervous. So, it was a short little ride. :)

Walking all around with Great Grandad. Such good practice. That was a week ago, and now she can venture out on her own.

In pajamas with a glowworm

For awhile now, Bryan has been talking about taking Makenah on her first little 4-wheeler ride. He and his brothers have some special memories of riding on 4 wheelers with their dad when they were very little. Bryan was anxious for the day he could take sweet Makenah on her first little ride.

They went very slow, and rode a circle around the yard. I took pictures along the way. 

My two favorite parts:

The pajamas and glow worm that she had, since she had just woken up not too long ago.

I've got LOTS of pictures to share from visiting Garden City. 

This set is from playing "Where's Makenah?" with Uncle Brandon, and working up the nerve to venture out on her own. 

In the few days since I took these pictures, I think I can say we have a walker! From the first steps in April, to the timidness of learning in May, we have really come a long way. She's not walking all the time yet, but she's got it down, and is enjoying it much more now! There are more pictures of that to come.

Another summer night

Some cute pictures to share from exploring and playing outside. 

Makenah turned 15 months old yesterday! She is getting to be such a big girl! I love this time because she is learning SO much! You can tell she is soaking everything up, watching and learning from what everyone is doing, and figuring out so many new things! 

It is absolutely awesome!!
