We Partied!: Part IV

The reception that Brad and Racquel planned was SO MUCH FUN! It had such a good flow to it, everyone was enjoying themselves, the food was delicious and the dance was enjoyed by everyone!
Shortly after we arrived the wedding party made their entrance. They danced themselves into the room, and it was so entertaining. We enjoyed appetizers and chatted with everyone, and there was a little bit of dancing and then we got to eat a delicious dinner.
Some of the brothers making their entrance.
 Dr. and Mrs. Brad Stucky!!
Dancing as everyone came in.
Brad and Racquel danced their first dance as soon as they got there.
Later in the evening…Bryan giving his speech/toast.
Granna and Grandad won the dance for longest married couple!!
Racquel gave Granna her bouquet.
My date, the handsome best man. :)
 My other date. :)
 Delicious cake!
Drawing on the dry erase boards at the table. These made for some fun pictures and notes throughout the evening.
 Dancing with Uncle Blake
Racquel's 4 brothers had several fun surprises planned for the evening. This was them singing "Kiss the Girl" to the couple. Just prior to this they included the Stucky brothers in a crazy dance they choreographed!
Getting Brad in on the fun!
 Mother-son dance. :)
Logan and Makenah both loved the dance! We spent a lot of time on the dance floor. Here is Makenah taking her turn in the dollar dance tradition. Grandad gave her a dollar and she got in line to dance with Brad. She was such a big girl.
Almost the end of the night…we grabbed the couple before they left.
 The last dance.
What a night a day!!
A magical event--so full of love and fun!
Congratulations to Brad and Racquel Stucky!
We love you!!!

Getting' Hitched!: Part III

It was finally wedding day! Brad and Racquel chose a Sunday for their wedding day, and it couldn't have been any more beautiful. During our trip to Maine, and later Boston, we experienced much cooler weather than we were used to at this time of year in Kansas, and with much more rain. But, what a beautiful day God had planned for their wedding. Warmer temperatures and mostly blue and sunny skies. The wedding started at 2:00 and pictures were held after the ceremony, so we were able to move a tad bit slower in the morning than we had been the previous days. The guys and girls in the wedding party gathered and got ready together, Racquel's family and friends put into motion months of planning for decorations, the ceremony, and the reception to come. I got the ring bearer and flower girl ready, and Debbie helped me keep them occupied as we waited for the wedding to begin. The best man was busy with his own duties. :)
Leaving the house for the church!
 Posing together before the ceremony.
I didn't take any pictures during the ceremony, obviously, but it was so completely lovely!! Brad and Racquel planned a touching service, and all the details it takes to plan a wedding went so nice and smooth. On the kid front, we were so happy with how they participated. I stayed in the back of the church with them, and sent them up the isle together. I told them to walk towards the front to where they saw Mimi. After I sent them in, I walked quickly around the outside of the pews and met them in the front row. Makenah walked in slowly and took care in dropping petals along the way. Logan walked a little in front of her, stopped part way up the isle and said, "where's Mimi…?" "There she is!" and walked right to her. SO precious!!!
They sat great up front and I kept them busy with me the whole time. We exited like pros after Brad and Racquel were announced as Dr. and Mrs. Brad and Racquel Stucky!!
Right after the ceremony, there was a receiving line outside in the warm sunshine.
Pictures afterwards went nice and smooth, and I tried to sneak some shots from the side and stay out of the photographers way.
The wedding party. Between the couple, there are SEVEN brothers, and they all stood up with Brad and Racquel. It was very special! The matron of honor was her great friend Bridgette!
 Playing during pictures.
 With her grandmother.
 Sweetness.
With Steve and Debbie
 And Granna and Grandad
She's trying to see what Logan was crying about, ha!
 Tiny tux!
 With the Stucky brothers.

Snuggling uncle Blake
No worries, just a minor meltdown. You know it wasn't too bad of an issue, since Bryan looks pretty mellow. :)
 Always keeping her laughing!
Parents of the groom!
We gathered our stuff from the church and headed to the reception! Such a smooth looking best man.
We had barely left the parking lot of the church, heading to the reception, and saw this. So sweet and so tired. They caught a  quick cat nap, and it was party time!!
