Happenings

We're getting used to this spring-y weather…I hope the trend means warm days are here to stay!
 Snuggling with Papa.
 Being creative with Uncle Jeff.
Treats Makenah took for her classmates on her birthday.
 Birthday morning before school.
After school we took the kids to the local nursery and pet shop…we looked at all the animals and pets, and then ate lunch at the garden cafe there. So fun!!
Scoops of ice cream, specially chosen from the ice-cream counter.
Watching closely…I'll have to blog more about one of Bryan's new projects…it needs pictures to do it justice. :) After we added Makenah's new fish tank to our family, we are also now the proud owners of a bigger salt water tank. Bryan is really enjoying developing the ecosystem in there. It takes a lot of work to get one up and running. He and Makenah bond over fish. :)
Blowing out more candles on a piece of birthday cake.
Happy meals at McDonalds with Mimi and some sweet friends after bible study. This is Makenah and her good friend from preschool and church. He's so funny and energetic…she's always totally into whatever he's doing. This picture makes me laugh…He only wanted to do the silly faced picture...
 Zoo with friends.
 Peachwave!!
 Out back with Daddy.
 Riding.
Makenah helped me make rainbow fruit cups for Logan's birthday party.
Dress up at Grandma's with our old costumes.
The birthday boy on his special day. We spent the morning at Grandma's playing and then eating lunch, we went home for a nap and then everyone came over for his party!!
In the church nursery.
Sunday lunch at our favorite mexican place. They brought out dessert for Logan and Makenah.
He's been breaking in his new bike.
 Trying everything she does.
Shopping downtown… she discovered the 3 way mirror.
 Celebrating Mimi's birthday!
Pat-a-cake...
 Park time.

Logan's 2nd Birthday Party

Logan's birthday fell on a Saturday, and it was the perfect day to have another big birthday party here at the house. We were so lucky to have all the family back over to make this day all about Logan, and along with Grandparents and Great-grandparents, even had some aunts and uncles here on this special weekend. It was a full house.
The birthday boy
I mentioned that Logan really likes Veggie Tales, so we went with that to tie that party together a little. All the primary colors were easy to decorate with, and it was fun to find some Veggie Tales plates and napkins and party-ware. I made the cake, Bob the Tomato and Larry the Cucumber, and actually enjoyed doing that. Definitely not as fancy as what you can order, but a nice change from what I've done in the past.
We actually opened presents first, since everyone came at 4:00.
Our families are so generous with the kids. He got so many nice gifts. He started off on a strong note, unwrapping wise, but lost steam as he went. :) It was no problem though, he had his big sis to help.
His new bike from us made lots of laps around the kitchen that evening.
Bryan grilled hamburgers on the grill and we had BBQ fixins' to go with that. After supper we cut the cut the cake and had cake and ice-cream.
It was a fantastic evening. We got to celebrate our sweet boy with so many people who love him. He seemed to really enjoy himself, and was a cutie all night.
All around wonderful.
