Labor Day 2014: Copper Mountain

We took an extra long weekend trip over  Labor Day weekend to Colorado and landed in Copper Mountain. While we were there we spent time in Frisco and Breckenridge as well. I just love Summit County Colorado. We went with Bryan's parents, two brothers Brandon and Blake, and some extra special guests...younger brother Blake's fiancé and soon to be parents-in-law. We had such a fun time as a group, and I think we are all looking forward to going back soon.
Our trips to CO are always enjoyable, and even though this one included illness in both the kids, we were still thankful for the time away as a family.
We spent all day Friday driving, and stopped in the REI flagship store in Denver. An awesome experience.
The whole crew, all happy to be in Copper. Bryan's dad Steve took this one!
Warming up by the fire in the Center Village, ready to head in for supper.
We did am awesome Jeeping day our first full day there. We went over Mosquito Pass.
 Daddy and Kenah.
These passengers get all kinds of fun stuff while we travel. :) Showing my their candy corn. Yay for Fall!
Blake, Brooke, and her parents Randy and Karla.
Blake, Brooke, Steve and Debbie.
Hold onto your babies.
 So cute.
I enjoyed hearing all the wedding talk on this trip.
She was always right beside Bryan on this trip.
 Exploring.
 Brothers.
She was his navigator. Took it very seriously, and looked through these for as very long time.
Daddy and daughter on the horizon.
 Helping.
 Checking out the mines.
You may have to enlarge this to see the two crazy people on the rocks up there. :) A boy and his fiancé.
We stopped in Leadville, a small town in the mountains for lunch at the best pizza place that we found last year. It proved awesome again.
A highlight...Logan and Makenah being asked to be their ring bearer and flower girl.
Amazing! Heading for a fiesta for dinner in Frisco.
I did not get any pictures of the second day's activities... We started the day in Breckenridge and Makenah got sick, so the kids and I spent the day resting at the house and we sent the others to explore another mountain. We brought in a yummy supper at the house we were staying at, and enjoyed another night of wonderful company.
Everyone drove home on Monday. We had planned another night for the four of us in Denver with some fun stuff planned for the kids, but we needed to just get them home. They were both very good for not feeling that well.
Summit County is beautiful. Every season has its special appeal, and we've enjoyed every time we've been there.
