My new boots

Makenah got some new boots a few weeks ago.
I'm jealous of her boots. I think I need some like this! :)
Hope everyone is having a great week!

Big girl

Yesterday evening Makenah was looking like she was trying to figure out how to pull herself up on her bouncer. We got out the camera just in case, and she got up on her knees.
Then, about an hour later....we caught her first time pulling to standing on camera! The progression was so cute!
Oh, I'm proud!
It was such a cute moment!

O Christmas Tree- From field to house

We got all bundled up on Sunday and went to cut down our Christmas tree. We went to Prairie Pines, which just happens to be right down the street from us. It was beautiful out there, and we had a lot of fun even though it was so cold! They have fields full of several different kinds of pine trees, and some very pretty indoor space as well.
We both said we could have walked around for a long time trying to find just the right tree! We tried to be efficient since sweet Makenah was gettin' chilly!
Bryan cut it down effortlessly!
Isn't that a cold little face?!
(Can you see Bryan picking up our tree? They shake the needles off and tie it up for you.)
Makenah's first Santa sighting! How fun!
Into the base...
And into place.
We have a few more ornaments to add, but here's our tree. :)
We had such a good time together!

Makenah's new quilt!

Makenah's Aunt Jenna made her a beautiful quilt!
My sister Jenna has so many talents, and one of them is sewing.
Jen sewed this whole quilt for Makenah by hand.
Jenna, mom, and I picked out this material together before Makenah was born.
It was so much fun picking out different fabrics, not knowing how they would all come together.
(My family jokes that I have no vision for the final product of projects.)
I was SO excited to see it!
As you can imagine, doing all this intricate stitching took a very long time.
Jenna gave Makenah her quilt on Thanksgiving!
We absolutely LOVE it!
Can you see all those stitches?! I love the pattern of them!
This is the back side. Polka dots!
Thank you so much, Jenna, for the beautiful quilt you made!
Makenah is very lucky to have it!!

My hunter

We just got back from another trip to Garden City!
This time out was for Bryan's annual trip to go deer hunting!

Congratulations to Bryan on getting his deer! He had a great time, and he has an awesome story to go with it! He took some pictures to remember his trip this year, but I don't think you want to see those. Ha!

I had to find another picture of him in camo to use.
So, here we are a couple of years ago, decked out in Colorado.
Way to go Bryan!

Our Thanksgivings 2010

What wonderful Thanksgiving celebrations we had!
We are so lucky to have enough break time to spend the holidays with both of our families.
We are so blessed and we have so much to be thankful for.

Makenah enjoyed her first Thanksgiving!
She got to try many of our favorite dishes!

While we were in Garden City and Hesston, we enjoyed lots of turkey and all the fixins', family time, games, hunting and some motor-sports (the boys!), more turkey, laughs and some good relaxing.
All ready to eat!
She sure likes all the attention she gets from her uncles and daddy. :)
Uncle Brandon
We took several shots of the picture below, and this one is my favorite because it shows exactly how Makenah is these days. Squirmy and silly.
It has begun...
Casey and Sarah also got to celebrate Thanksgiving with bones that Bryan's mom got them.
Notice the green cup with feet in the corner of the picture. This ol' cup was one of the most popular cups to drink from when we were little, and Makenah got to sip her water from it at the table. :)
My brother Aaron and his girlfriend Olivia.
Aunt Jenna takes great care of Makenah!
Bryan and Sweetie :)
We played some Xbox Kinect...I think they were running the hurdles!
Can you tell she is a dancer?
Soccer...
What a wonderful time we had!
