A reception in Hesston

You may remember that that my brother, Aaron got married in Virginia in December.
He married the most wonderful girl, Maria, and they are happily settling into married life on the east coast. When they planned their wedding, they scheduled a reception in Kansas for local family and friends to attend, since the wedding was so far away. We were excitedly waiting and planning for this past weekend, when my family hosted a reception for them at our hometown of Hesston on Saturday.

The event was held at Dyck Arboretum of the Plains and it was a beautiful spring day. Many family and friends attended, and it was so great to be able to celebrate them again, and introduce Maria to many new family members and friends!

My mom, sister and I worked together in the planning, and it came together nicely, even though none of us still live in Hesston!

I took lots of pictures of the venue as we finished setting up!
We played off many of the wedding details.
The happy couple.
The happy Logan.
Ballerina Makenah.
Aaron and Maria with Mom and Dad.
Bryan and Aaron.
Logan was a very busy guy all day. Both kids were such great travelers and enjoyed themselves plenty. Logan was operating on a fraction of the nap time he usually logs, so we were especially pleased  with how the day went for him.
My sisters.
 The ladies.
Guests arrving.
Aaron and Maria sang at their wedding reception, and so we talked them into preforming for us here too! They are SO good together!
It was wonderful to celebrate Aaron and Maria's marriage all over again!
And to top it all off, we have them in Garden City with us all week!!! Yay!
Congratulations again to this wonderful couple!
